"Would you love me if I'd gone to Beauxbaton?" Ginny Potter said, one afternoon, lying in bed and gazing at a cauldron cake.
"Yes." said Harry automatically.
"You didn't even listen to the question!" Ginny said.
"Didn't have to, answer's always yes." Harry said.
Ginny glared at him.
"Why Beauxbaton though?" Harry said, to prove he had been listening really. "Isn't it usually if I were a flobber-worm."
"If I'd gone to Beauxbaton, you wouldn't have known me as Ron's sister or a Gryffindor. I'd just have been me."
"That would've been enough." Harry said.
Ginny looked unconvinced, took another look at the Cake and put it down. She'd shed post-partum weight easily after James had been born but now after Albus it was more challenging.
"In fact, if you'd gone to Beauxbaton, it would have been easier to like you, all those horrid ugly veela and"- he gave a mock shudder -"french girls, you'd have stood out a mile."
"Liar," Ginny said but she was smiling and laughing all the same.
"Would I?" Harry said and pulled her into a slow sensual kiss, Ginny responded.
They didn't know it but Lily Luna was soon to be on her way.
