Star Trek Picard S2E8 (Spoilers)

lightofdayeAnother decent episode.
A lot more straight forward this time than last week's mind based episode most of the plot threads get some development. Seven and Raffi hunt down Jurati and are almost killed because they have no way to handle her once they find her. She spares them which the titular "mercy" and they attribute this to Jurati fighting from the inside.
Rios doesn't have much beyond flirting with the Doctor and finding some more borg code. I like him and the Doctor but they seem to be struggling to use her to say anything now the medical stuff's done for the moment. She and Rios are sweet and... that's it. I hope something does come of it in the last two episodes.
Q gives Kore a presumably permanent cure for her condition and apparently independently jurati!Queen comes to make an alliance with him. It seems he's a great man in the Confed timeline where the Europa mission fails and he sort of falls in to evil mad scientist cliches are Kore leaves him.
Q turns up to talk to Guinan and confirms he's dying and that's why he's doing this, lacking the meaning he expected to find in death.
Picard talks the FBI guy out of holding them and turns out the FBI guy was traumatised in his youth by a vulcan who attempted a mind meld on him. Which all seems kind of pat. Then Guinan praises humanity as rare among species for wanting to evolve. Which... eh. Star Trek to me shouldn't about praising humanity beyond other species if we're to find peace and acceptance among the stars.
